Craigslist and Petanque

I noticed this in the Missed Connections of the Detroit Craigslist (an online board for posting all kinds of stuff).

You were holding 3 metal balls in a leather strap
You, Male, in your 40's, and you were holding these cool looking shiny metal balls in a leather strap. I saw you playing some really neat looking sport at Campus Martius on Saturday. Wow! What a neat athlete you are. Me, thin, nordic looks, 32. I'll see you there next Saturday !
