Another New Game Discovered! - Washers!
Joe and Lindsey (intrepid game investigators) find yet another new "tossing" sport in the park while practicing some boule shooting. This game of "Washers". It seems that it has its roots in Texas, but is ironically similar to cornholeing (previously reported ;-). The idea is to throw your washers (about 3" in diameter) into the platform's holes (about 10' away), and correspondingly gets 5, 3, or 1 point for the holes that your washer lands in. The idea is to get to 21, but it must be exactly 21, over-scoring only deducts your score. It's pretty tough. It's like throwing a mini frisbee; but Brad and Jane (our teachers for the night) put some pretty impressive points in there! Thanks to them for teaching us yet another great game and giving us some good laughs!
