We love to teach petanque to travelers
Jeff and Boris discuss different target shooting sports. Visiting the U.S. from Russia, he has his translator try to help him describe his country's sports. Of course Jeff was doing the same about our game, Petanque! Just one more great thing about playing the sport, meeting nice and interesting people...

Boris explained two Russian games played in Moscow. One being called "Bitte" and the other called "Button"
Bitte, as translated, seems to be a throwing/tossing game involving a cylinder holding a coin which, after being tossed, is "Heads" or 'Tails"
Button - is just that, a button (flat button) is tossed against a wall, it lands a certain distance from that wall - the opponent tosses his/her button - and tries to land it atop the opponent's button.
