Crouching Tiger

Melissa swears by the crouching method. It is admittedly tough on the leg muscles, but allows you to view the line of play and any interruptions for your boule's passage to it's goal.

For me, it is a good quad strengthening exercise. I am still lacking considerable quad strength in my right leg due to the knee surgery I had last year. I can get my squat exercise in while playing petanque.
