Temperatures Dipping to Low 50's This Weekend

May I suggest this arctic-style hat to keep you toasty warm for the coming cold season? As for the metal boules, perhaps some thinsulate gloves, and if you're really smart, stick them in a fannybag alongside some of those chemical warmer pouches (they'll transfer the heat to the boule and you'll be playing comfy!).

Good Heather?

That's a long way to go to see anyone -- let along to just get warm...

..besides, I'm happily married!

Strangely, the "Napolean" Jeff look fits just right... ;-)

...from you kow who...

Anonymous is referring to a particular "style" of petanque playing where you never offer the opposing team any extra information.

For example: if they ask you, because you're standing close to the boule layout, "Did I get the point?" a Napoleonic response would be: "I don't know..." (despite the fact that you very well DO know). This pscyhological torment causes the lazy petanque player to assume they don't have the point (even if they do) and just throw another boule.

I, for the record, DO NOT use the Napoleonic method (as attested by my infinite amount of measurement taking during the games).
