The surface at the Renaissance Center riverfront is hard packed (and sometimes not so hard packed) sand. This proves to be a tricky surface upon which to roll a boule. But not for Allan... He pointed in boules at 8 and 9 meters away, over soft sand, across hard patches - and this is only the 2nd time he's played! I'll be glad to see more of him on Fridays (when he's not in classes) and Saturdays at Campus Martius.
